Upper Level of Library Will Close Temporarily May 18-19

UPDATE 5/19 @ 5pm: The Children's Room and Teen Room will remain closed until Wednesday, May 20. These spaces were initially set to open late in the day on May 19. Community Room A will be open for the South Eastern Vermont's Audubon Society's monthly program.

The top floor of the Brooks Memorial Library will be closed to the public on Monday, May 18 (all day) and Tuesday, May 19, 2026, due to construction. The children and teen spaces, restrooms, and community room will be inaccessible during this period. Youth and teen materials on reserve will be available at the ground floor circulation desk, along with a small browsing collection for checkout.

“We are so excited about the progress being made with our new outdoor spaces and know these small service disruptions will be worth it in the long run. We thank our patrons for their continued patience and flexibility,” said Library Director Julie Perrin. “We apologize for the short notice. Our staff are working diligently to provide alternative library spaces for any meeting room reservations impacted by the closure.”
